Church Music Sunday was celebrated with a variety of musical settings and was especially appreciated by many Zion members. As we rejoice in our musical praise to the Lord at Zion, we are grateful to our Music Director, John Heizer, for his dedication to the fine music in worship that we treasure so much. This year marks John’s anniversary of 35 years at Zion Church as organist and choir director. We extend our gratitude and appreciation to John for his loyal service! As our organist, John has played and devotedly cared for Zion’s ailing organ longer than any of his predecessors. Many of you are aware that Zion’s organ, after 50 years of service, is in need of costly restoration. What a wonderful tribute it would be to commemorate John’s 35th anniversary by making a contribution to the Zion Organ Fund! It is our hope that the Zion tradition of great music will continue through your financial support. |
